Reinventing Black Friday

The last thing we needed during a pandemic was a typical Black Friday sale and the chaos that comes with it. After a few press releases announcing how The Home Depot is “improving” Black Friday, several competitors followed suit expanding Black Friday from one day to months of savings. In the end, The Home Depot had its most successful holiday season yet, and even cooler, Black Friday has *hopefully* been changed forever.

“The Holidays. improved.”

As the leader of home improvement, making things better is in our DNA. So, for the first time, we’re changing the way we do the holidays; by offering Black Friday prices all season long.

“Decorating. improved.”

In the year 2020, safely sharing your holiday cheer is easier said than done, and “happy holidays” seem like a thing of the past. So this holiday season, lifting the spirits of one another is more important than ever. In this :30 TV spot, we see how The Home Depot’s holiday decor is just the way to do it.

To provide a unique social extension, we opted to create a single-narrative :15 digital video that was simple and concise.
